Conservation
October 2021: Attached below is a listing of a new set of conservation bills that are being supported legislatively and lobbied by Hunter Nation. The WI Wildlife Federation will be involved in reviewing the language in these bills, however there is concern that politics are included in some of these bills. These bills also forego the public input process set forth by state statute through the Spring Hearing process. Some of these bills appear good for those that care about fishing, hunting, and shooting sports but others should be concerning for sports men and women across the state. Talk amongst the conservation groups is that these bills will be fast tracked and they do have bi-partisan sponsorship. More to come on these as we learn more.
